Soldaat gedood, 9 gewonden, 50 aanvallen

Eén Oekraïense soldaat is gisteren gedood bij een aanval van de pro-Russische rebellen, negen soldaten liepen verwondingen op. De rebellen vielen het leger vijftig maal aan. In de omgeving van Donetsk werden de soldaten bij Avdiivka, Kamjanka, Nevelske, Trojtske, Loehanske, Verchniotoretske, Zajtseve en Piski aangevallen met mortieren en granaatwerpers. Her en der zetten de rebellen ook zware machinegeweren en pantserwagens tegen ze in.

In de omgeving van Marioepol werden de legerposities bij Pavlopil, Hnoetove, Vodiane, Krasnohorivka, Sjirokine en Tsjermalik ook bestookt met mortieren en granaatwerpers. De versterkte legerposities bij het dorp Hnoetove werden ook beschoten met 122 millimeter artillerie, terwijl bij het dorp Novotrojtske sluipschutters voor het nodige gevaar zorgden.

In de provincie Loehansk werden de soldaten bij het dorp Novozvanivka beschoten met 122 millimeter artillerie. Bij de dorpen Krimske, Trojtske, Zhovte, Stanitsja Loehanske en Valoejske werden de soldaten onder vuur genomen door de rebellen met mortieren en granaatwerpers. Lokale legercommandanten besloten in een aantal gevallen terug te schieten om erger te voorkomen.

Anti-tank grenades were fired at Ukrainian positions near the village of Zhovte. The enemy also used grenade launchers of various systems and small arms to fire at the defenders of the villages of Stanytsia Luhanska and Valuyske. It is noted that in some occasions, when there was an immediate threat to the life and health of Ukrainian troops, their commanders took decisions to adequately return fire.
