Rebellen vallen vijfmaal aan, geen gewonden

De pro-Russische rebellen houden zich nog steeds gedeisd. Gistermorgen voerden ze vijf aanvallen uit op het Oekraïense leger. De rest van de dag was het rustig, in lijn met het kerstbestand dat inmiddels bijna twee weken oud is. De rebellen schoten met 82 millimeter mortieren op de soldaten bij het stadje Marinka en de kolenmijn Boetivka.

Bij de stad Avdiivka en het dorp Vodiane gebruikten ze granaatwerpers en lichte infanteriewapens, geweervuur bij het dorp Sjirokine. Het leger schoot niet terug. Zowel op de heuvelrug Svitlodarska Doeha als langs de kust van de Zee van Azov werden onbemande verkenningsvliegtuigjes gezien.
