De Oekraïense kunstenaars Daniel Green en Daria Martsjenko hebben in New York een portret van de Russische president Vladimir Poetin gemaakt van kogelhulzen. Met 'Het Gezicht van de Oorlog' willen zij aangeven dat zij Poetin als eerste verantwoordelijk houden voor het oorlogsconflict in hun land. Het bijzondere portret maakt deel uit van de expositie 'Five Elements of War' in het Oekraïene Instituut. Het tweetal gebruikte meer dan 5.000 kogelhulzen. De expositie duurt tot maandag 5 februari.

According to the artists, they used the bullet shells from the 2014 Ukrainian uprising known as the Maidan Revolution, one of the bloodiest European conflicts since the early 1990s.
