Speculaties over conflict separatisten houden aan

De ruzie tussen separatistenleider Igor Plotnitski en de maandag door hem ontslagen minister Igor Kornel, de inmenging van militanten vanuit Donetsk met de gang van zaken en tenslotte Plotnitski's vertrek uit Loehansk leiden tot speculaties over het samengaan van de bezette gebieden. De 'autoriteiten' van de Volksrepubliek Loehansk (LPR) vrezen het onderspit te delven, terwijl Alexander Zachartsjenko met zijn Volksrepubliek Donetsk (DPR) alles voor het zeggen krijgt.

Ook zijn de mensen die het voor het zeggen hadden in Loehansk volgens parlementslid en militair analist Dmitro Timtsjoek bang dat zij de schuld in de schoenen krijgen van wat vanuit Donetsk een sabotagepoging van de Oekraïense militaire inlichtingendienst wordt genoemd. Zo'n sabotagepoging, met hulp van mensen uit Plotnitski's omgeving, is in de bezette gebieden namelijk aangevoerd als de verklaring voor het grote aantal gemaskerde soldaten dat dinsdag op straat verscheen in de stad Loehansk.

Volgens Timtsjoek zijn er topfiguren onder de separatisten in Loehansk die net als Plotnitski de benen willen nemen, omdat ze menen dat de speciale troepen die Plotnitski trouw zijn gebleven weleens het gevecht aan kunnen gaan met die uit Donetsk, mocht de DPR de LPR over willen nemen. Dat kans op zo'n overname is groot, ook al omdat Zachartsjenko zich onlangs in Moskou heeft beklaagd over Plotnitski's onvermogen om de LPR te leiden.
