Rebellen voeren 51 aanvallen uit op het leger

Pro-Russische rebellen hebben gisteren 51 aanvallen uitgevoerd op posities van het Oekraïense leger. Er waren evenveel aanvallen (24) in de omgeving van Marioepol als in die van de stad Donetsk, in de naastgelegen provincie Loehansk ging het om drie aanvallen. Het ging weer om de bekende 'hot spots' als het industrieterrein van de stad Avdiivka en de dorpen Piski, Loehanske, Trojtske, Opitne Novhorodske en Zajtseve.

Soldaten bij Majorsk werden vanuit pantservoertuigen onder vuur genomen, die bij de kolenmijn Boetivka met mortieren. Legereenheden bij Sjirokine en Krasnohorivka kregen te maken met 120 millimeter mortieren. Nabij het stadje Marinka waren sluipschutters actief.

Bij de beschietingen raakten gisteren vier Oekraïense soldaten gewond.

Read also Militants mortar Ukrainian positions in ATO zone In the Mariupol sector, the Russian-backed mercenaries fired small arms and rocket-propelled grenades on ATO forces near the villages of Hnutove, Talakivka and Starohnativka, as well as 122mm self-propelled gun mounts near the village of Novotroyitske and twice near the village of Lebedynske. They also fired 82mm and 120mm mortars on the Ukrainian fortified positions near the village of Shyrokyne and the town of Krasnohorivka. The enemy snipers were active near the town of Maryinka. "In Luhansk region, the enemy fired mortars on the Ukrainian positions near the village of Novozvanivka, as well as small arms and automatic grenade launchers near the village of Krymske and the Crimea and the Zolote entry/exit checkpoint," the press center said.
