Porosjenko begeeft zich eventjes in de vuurlinie

President Petro Porosjenko belandde gisteren in de vuurlinie toen hij een bezoek bracht aan soldaten aan het front in de buurt van de stad Donetsk. Dat heeft legerwoordvoerder kolonel Andrii Lisenko vanmiddag gezegd in zijn dagelijkse persconferentie. Pro-Russische rebellen vuurden binnen een half uur 130 granaten af op posities van het leger bij Zajtseve, Majorske, Avdiivka, Opitne, Vodjane en Piski.

Porosjenko zou op diverse plekken in dit gebied geweest zijn. Op slechts 800 meter van het totaal vernielde vliegveld bij de stad Donetsk reikte de president onderscheidingen uit aan soldaten en ondertekende hij het bevel tot demobilisatie van de vijfde lichting dienstplichtigen. Deze soldaten worden niet vervangen door nieuwe dienstplichtigen, maar door beroepsmilitairen.
