President Petro Porosjenko roept de Oekraïners op om woensdag massaal de militaire parade ter gelegenheid van de 25e Onafhankelijkheidsdag te gaan bekijken. ''Die is niet bedoeld om onze vijanden af te schrikken, maar om aan te tonen dat wij in staat zijn om ons land en onze inwoners te beschermen. We mogen trots zijn op wat we in de afgelopen twee jaar hebben bereikt. Dit leger hebben we vanaf de grond weer moeten opbouwen.
